Concert No. 1 - Opera Gems

The season’s opening concert of the light classical series “Music From Around the World” celebrates with selected duets and familiar and beloved arias from three operas by Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro / Cosi fan Tutte / The Abduction from the Seraglio

We invite you to choose and influence - which of the three operas we will perform in its entirety, in the framework of Concert No. 8 of the Classica series. The subscription department staff will gather your selections by December 15, 2017 and the orchestra will perform the opera that has received the majority of votes.

Concert No. 2 - Classico Espagnol!

A classical orchestra and flamenco dancers! A delightful dance concert with Compas, the Israeli flamenco dance company (picture by Ronen Rosenblat), conducted by Doron Salomon. Music with a story by Manuel De Falla, one of Spain’s first nationalist composers. The main part of the evening is devoted to two of his most famous works: “El Amor Brujo” (Cruel Love) and “El sombrero de tres picos” (The Three-Cornered Hat).

Concert No. 3 - Classical Greece 

Haris Iliadis, Conductor (Greece)
Stella Tsani, Violin (Greece)

The talented Greek conductor, Haris Iliadis (in his first performance in Israel) has concocted a unique musical fusion of Western classical sounds and original music by Greek composers – a blend of styles from the East and the West.

Our soloist, Stella Tsani, one of Greece's promising young violinists, has performed throughout Europe and has produced four CDs of classical works and authentic Greek works. She has won lucrative prizes in competitions, and is a member of the Greek Composers Association and the Greek Ensemble of Contemporary Music.

Concert No. 4 - From Georgia With Love


Conductor Barak Tal has produced an exceptional, varied and fascinating program: short, familiar and catchy passages and classical and folk hits by the best Georgian composers and by leading singers of Georgian music - the Kolan Choir Singers’ Ensemble. We offer you the best of Georgian music (including excerpts from “Daisy” and “Absalom and Esther” by Paliashvili and Dolidze's “Keto and Kote”).

Concert No. 5 - Gypsy Evening

We present favorite works by great composers who were inspired by Gypsy and Balkan music, in a sweeping and energetic performance by the international violinist Ksenia Dubrovskaya (Russia / Germany) conducted by Eran Reemy.

Concert No. 6 - from the Treasures of Russia

Hear works of the great composers of Russia: Tchaikovsky, Glinka and Rimsky Korsakov, in an evening that is a musical and vocal celebration. We will host the singers of the Master Quartet Ensemble in special arrangements of Russian folk music for ensemble and orchestra by Yaron Gottfried.
