The musical and technical possibilities of the modern trumpet, which was invented and perfected at the time of Haydn, sparked the composer’s imagination. This concert will demonstrate the diverse capabilities of this exciting tool. The virtuoso trumpeter Yigal Meltzer will perform Haydn's beloved and challenging concerto with the orchestra. This piece enables the soloist to demonstrate his varied abilities and total control over this exciting instrument. In addition, the symphony will be performing the Sinfonia Concertante and the "Farewell" symphony, all under the direction of Maestro Justus Frantz.

The mayor's office has said that the Performing Arts Center will be closed for all activities on Saturday night, May 13, due to the victory celebrations of Hapoel Be'er Sheva. As a result, our two concerts will be combined and the entire audience is
invited to a concert on Monday May 15 at 20:30. Unfortunately due to the time constraints of the conductor and soloist, this concert cannot be held on another date.
